Both CEO Laura Soucek and Montse Vendrell – General Partner of Alta Life Sciences – have been selected as Finalists for the EIT (European Institute of Innovation & Technology) Woman Award.
The 22 European submissions were judged in two rounds of evaluation and Laura and Montse were selected as the 2 EIT Health nominees to compete against the finalists from the other 6 EIT Innovation Communities in October in Budapest.
The EIT Woman Award is a new initiative for 2018 and recognises the outstanding work and achievements by exceptional women in European innovation.
“It is an extraordinary achievement that the two finalists for the Health community in Europe happen to both be part of Peptomyc’s team” says Laura, adding: “That is already a great victory”.
Importantly, women are well represented in Peptomyc; our leadership and research staff also includes CSO and co-founder Marie-Eve Beaulieu, senior technician Laia Foradada, and postdoctoral researcher Silvia Casacuberta.
We really hope that one of our finalists can bring home the award in October!
